Early Life is a baby group for families with babies of a similar age. It is a local, community-based group of people, who are facing similar experiences during the early years of their child’s life. By being part of this group, you will have the opportunity to access free resources, trips and play-based sessions, such as Infant Massage; Sing and Sign and Journey to Nursery. These sessions will be organised by your dedicated Early Life Worker, who will be a support to you and your family, through all aspects of adjusting to life with a new baby.
Who are our Early Life Workers?
Hi, I’m Emma! I have several years’ experience within the early years sector, predominantly in nursery settings. I am fully qualified in Level 3 in childcare, first aid & baby massage. My favourite part of the job is watching the children grow & develop, seeing them grow from a new born into individuals with their own personalities & quirks. Here to offer a helping hand and support within all aspects of family life, looking forward to meeting you & your little ones, helping you both along your journey every step of the way.
Hey, I’m Stacey! I have been part of Early Life since it’s creation in 2021, and come from a background in Early Years in a variety of settings and roles. I have a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies. Since my little girl was born in December 2022, I have even more of a passion for my job! I love working with families, watching as their little ones learn and grow, and being there to help and support them through all the things being a new parent throws your way.
What can I expect?
The Early Life group has weekly play-based sessions (term-time only), with additional themed events during holidays such as coffee mornings and local trips and visits. You will have the opportunity to access free resources to use at home, such as story sacks and playdoh bags, so you can carry on the learning and play at home! You will have regular contact from your Early Life Worker who will be able to help with all aspects of life with your new baby - as well as creating a network of new parents local to you!
What does it cost?
The group is free! We have funding to allow the group and activities to happen at no cost to the families who are involved - the only criteria is that you live in Ellesmere Port!
Who do we work with?
We work with a number of local schools and agencies. A selection of these can be viewed by clicking below.
If you’re interested in getting involved, or have any more questions or queries about anything relating to the programme, please contact Emma on Emma.Cannon@ffet.co.uk or 07494 763 512.
