This year’s Remembrance Service will be like no other we have experienced at The Ellesmere Port C of E College. We can all express our gratitude individually, by wearing poppies, but how can we come together to honour those who made such sacrifices during this time.
At The Ellesmere Port C of E College (EPC), a Poppy Cross has been placed on the open area at the front of the building, just across from the Police station.
The cross will be displayed all week, and we would like to invite members of our local community to pin a poppy to the cross. Our Principal, Mrs Green started proceedings today by attaching a central poppy wreath. Student representatives from each year group individually added their own poppy to the cross.
As we add our poppies, we will have a visible symbol of our community coming together to honour our armed forces, our fallen, and in these extraordinary times, those who are servicing on the Covid-19 front line. So please, consider taking part and pin your poppy with gratitude.
